To my classmates and professors reading this blog: remember to get up, stretch, and stay hydrated! I know at least I need that reminder as we fall into our second week of Coronavirus isolation.
Campus is still shut down which means that work is slow. By slow I mean that something that would take me five minutes to do on a school computer, takes me at least an hour at home. It isn't for lack of skill or trying either. My computer decides to not work roughly three hours into a project. That just means I just need to go back and forth between my laptop and PC and schedule my time better to anticipate the crashes.
Deep breath...
But it's fine. I can deal with this. I got Maya to start rendering again after it decided it wasn't going to for two days. I found work-arounds to every glitch I have encountered this far. I can do this.
And... I'm still on schedule.
Finished the look for the bed down. If I have time to do an animation of the bed being raised, I made a folded version of the comforter as how I 'make' my bed before putting away. Not pictured is the table stored under the bed.
Made a 'room-ception' within the model as per my friend and classmate, Anthony's suggestion. Not sure if i'll keep it haha. It really does show my work space though.
The skull is my first attempt at 3D scanning a physical object. My 3D scanner however, doesn't seem to work very well because for other objects, it didn't pick up the color black no matter how much I lit up the 'scene' or put opposing colors behind it. The ceramic skull that I have is only light gray so it picked up immediately.
There are so many hidden easter eggs within this project. References to inside jokes for our department to small details that mean things to me. Working on this, though frustrating at home, has been really fun!
